Roulette Odds and Payouts Guide

Players at Mr Bet Canada love to spin the wheel of fortune. Online Roulette is an intriguing yet complex game that offers significant rewards for small wagers. It’s essential to understand how roulette payouts and odds work, so you put your chips in the correct places.

This guide contains all the information you need to determine your best bet and enhance your game enjoyment. Get ahead of the odds to make online roulette less intimidating and more predictable.

Let’s get it done!

What are the online roulette payout odds?

Are you looking for truly exciting gaming? Roulette offers odds for every player and a massive variety of possible bets.

Players may make wagers on variables such as colours, even numbers, single digits, or entire rows. Each turn of the wheel brings numerous ways to win, so get to the front and lay those chips down.

Payouts depend on the bets you can make, and each has its odds in the form of x:1. A wager made on a single number has a payout of 35:1. These odds mean you’ll get $35 back for every $1 you put on the table.

Expanding your roulette payout knowledge helps you make educated choices about the risks you’d like to take.

Basic roulette bets and payouts

Basic bets and their payouts

We’re proud to offer our players the option to play on European and American roulette wheels. The numbers on the European version start from 0-36, while the American adds a 00 to the range. The two variations also result in different odds.

The roulette payout table below shows every possible basic bet you could make on both wheels.

There’s more to the roulette table

We told you that roulette wagers were thrilling, because they don’t end there. They’re further separated into three categories: inside, outside, and called bets. We name these wagers after where they appear on the roulette table.

Inside wagers are within the bright black and red grid of numbers in the main section. Outside bets are on the remaining area marked for groups of numbers. Announce called bets to the dealer as these options don’t appear on the roulette table.

Inside and outside wagers are where the action really happens, as they’re easier to perform. Called bets are more complex and speed up the game, getting hearts racing in nerve-wrecking anticipation.

Inside bet odds

A bet placed on the inside of the table has a lower chance of winning than an outside wager. However, these reduced roulette odds result in much more exciting wins. The six inside wagers are:

  • Straight up: Make a bet on your favourite number or choose some random digits. This wager has the lowest chance of winning and the highest payout. Players usually cover the grid with low bets on multiple squares.
  • Split: This is when you bet on two adjacent numbers in a vertical or horizontal line. You’ll win if the ball lands on either number.
  • Street: Wager on a row of numbers by placing your chip at the edge. This bet is best when combined with others.
  • Corner: Make this wager by placing a chip on the lines where four numbers meet. Use this technique for selecting clusters of numbers at once.
  • Basket: This five-numbered bet is one of the worst you can make because it has such low odds of success. It only applies to American roulette wheels as the 00 must be included.
  • Line: A six-numbered bet that covers two adjacent rows of numbers. This wager is a good option if you’d like to select a specific table area.

Outside bet odds

This area of the online roulette table is for gamers who prefer to play it safe. Outside bets result in more frequent wins with low payouts. The five possible wagers include:

  • Column: This bet covers 12 numbers on the table. Place your chip at the end of the column you’d like and hope the ball lands on any of the numbers.
  • Dozens: Choose one of three grids to put your money on. Playing this option is great for new players as it has a low chance of losing.
  • Odd/even: Decide if you think the winning digit will be odd or even.
  • Red/black: Predict the colour of the following successful number. The odds make this a favourable wager.
  • High/low: Select a range of 1–18 or 19–36.

Called bet odds

Called bets are only possible in European or French roulette. They save time as they prevent the player from having to place multiple chips on many numbers. The three most popular are:

  • Zero: A 15-numbered wager requiring nine chips. The odds of winning when playing it are 45.9%.
  • Thirds of the wheel: Cover 12 digits with six split bets. This play offers a 32% chance of success.
  • Orphans: Use five chips to make one straight up and four split bets that cover eight numbers. You’ll win 24.3% of the time when you make this wager.

Make educated bets to beat roulette

Roulette is a game of chance, and there’s no way to influence where the ball lands on the wheel. As you depend on luck for success, improving your winning odds isn’t really possible.

Memorize various bets, so you’re prepared for your game and only wager on the best payouts in roulette. Also, select a variation with a low house edge to get more bang for your buck.

Here are some other ways to play online roulette successfully:

  • Play roulette in demo mode until you’re confident enough to use real cash.
  • Stick to outside bets for the best odds.
  • Avoid making bets you don’t understand.
